ABOUT US

Jenny Briley B.Sc (Hons) Ost
Registered Osteopath 1150
Hello. I am Jenny Briley. I am the founder and owner of Bridge View Osteopaths.
I was always very sport orientated and understood the devastating effects of what an injury could do to someone. I wanted to be help to those achieve their goals and aid in their rehabilitation back to health and doing the things they love doing.

For me osteopathy was the only choice as it looks at the person as whole not just a symptom.
I Originally moved from Durham to Kent where I studied osteopathy for at the European School of Osteopathy. I qualified In1997 and set to work immediately.
Which gave me a great grounding in treating all sorts of different people with a multitude of different problems.

I have a special Interest treating Neck pain, whiplash and headaches as I feel we can make real differences to people's lives. As a migraine sufferer myself I understand how they feel and much relief a treatment can be.

I moved from Kent in 2004, where I had worked in several clinics and my own clinic for 7 years.
Keen to get back being busy working I set up from home as soon as possible.
In 2013 I moved to where we can be located today, as I wanted to expand and be able to help more people back to health.

Today we are a team of three ladies, two Osteoapths and a sport therapist. I feel Really lucky to be in a job I love with a great enthusiastic team who all want to help you get better.

I am an active person i like to run, play netball, cycle and love long walks with my mad dog, in my spare time. This make me appreciate the difficulties that some experience when they have an injury which stops them from continuing with there sport.

Today we are a team of three ladies, two Osteoapths and a sport therapist. I feel really lucky to be in a job I love with a great enthusiastic team who all want to help you get better.

Phoebe Smith M.Ost
Registered Osteopath 9366

Phoebe is my Supportive associate. She joined team Bridge View In February 2017.

Originally from the Vale of Belvoir in Leicestershire, she studied languages at Newcastle University before spending a few years working abroad in Canada. Osteopathy was a career that had always appealed to her  as I appreciated the logic of treating a patient as a whole person, rather than a collection of symptoms. In 2011, I made the move back to the UK and undertook my Master’s Degree at the College of Osteopaths as a mature student.

Phoebe has a special interest in paediatric patients and in musculoskeletal problems that can be experienced during and after pregnancy, she completed studies in cranial osteopathy at Master’s level and use these gentle techniques to help with aches and pains in patients of all ages.

One of the things she loves most about being an osteopath is that the appointments are nice and long so that she can take time to really get to know patients, to understand how their lives and their families are affected, and to know what it means for them to be able to get some relief from discomfort. For this reason,  never tiring of watching patients improve, and helping people to regain independence through better understanding and management of their condition.

Chloe Johnson FdSc
Registered Sport therapist

Chloe is our newest member to the team she joined us Sept 2019.
She a 20-year-old level 5 Sports Therapist. I have been studying for 4 years and I am going into my 5th.
Don't let her youth put you off she really knows her stuff.

Chloe is a part of the Sports Therapy Association (STA) and attend events such as Triathlons to offer pre and post-event massages for athletes.
She works treating a local football team. She enjoys keeping the team in tip top condition.

When I left school I never knew exactly what I wanted to do so I decided to take up something I knew I'd enjoy, sport and the human anatomy, and this helped me to realise what I want to do as a career and it's got me where I am now.

Now that I've found what I want to do I am excited for what it will bring, whether it's being based in a clinic or working events. Everything so far has been 100% worth the hard work and has shown a positive future.

I enjoy playing netball in the Boston netball league. I also enjoy watching netball and my favourite team is Loughborough Lightning. I always look forward to a day at the netball, especially because it gives me a chance to bond and spend time with my family as well as friends.
